Innovation
NASECO is dedicated to advancing seed innovation in East Africa. We develop a pipeline of improved and reliable seed varieties adapted to Ugandan and regional agro-ecologies, with a focus on proprietary maize hybrids.
Production
We produce our seeds through our own farms as well as through reliable grower groups and cooperatives. We practice soil conservation by reducing tillage, rotating with nitrogen-fixing legumes as cover crops, and increasing biomass to improve and maintain soil health.
Processing
Our state-of-the-art seed processing plant emphasizes quality control to assure genetic purity, germination rate, uniformity, and early vigor. These rigorous standards maximize the yield potential of our varieties.
